The new Dungeon Master’s Screen (2024) is now available! Priced at $20, the screen is compatible with the new Player’s Guide (2024), Dungeon Master’s Guide (2024), and Monster Manual (2024).

The screen is packaged in a sealed envelope made of cardstock for protection. Inside, is a folder that allows you to shelve the screen and the four-panel screen itself. There are no other instructions or materials that accompany the screen.

The four-panel art piece, illustrated by Joy Ang, has a modern, illustrated feel with adventurers on the far left and right panels and red dragon in the center. The addition of gold dragons on either side is a nice nod to the 50th anniversary of the game.

The screen itself contains practical information that DMs need for combat scenarios and travel: Conditions, Improvising Damage, Damage Severity and Level are included as well as tables matching Skills and Abilities, travel time across different terrains, weather, etc.

Beautifully designed and constructed, the Dungeon Master’s Screen (2024) is geared for both accessibilty and a beginner DM, and the rules are shaped to match the rest of the line.

Overall, the new screen is high quality and clearly displays what rules DMs should reference when runnin Dungeons & Dragons (2024). This frees up the DM to not only handle narration, but also reference other rules for spells, NPCs, and monsters behind a beautiful panoramic view.
