“V” Remake Coming to ABC

In the mid-1980s, a dark science fiction television show entitled “V” aired first as two, separate mini-series, then as a weekly show.
Imagine living in a well populated city, only to stare in amazement when a spaceship hovers right above you. Instead of blasting humans into oblivion, these aliens (which were dubbed “Visitors”) extend a hand in friendship. They’re having a hard time surviving without certain resources, but if you help them…they’ll help you.
Wearing sunglasses, the Visitors seem to fool pretty much everyone with their pleasantries and reassurances. That is, until people wind up missing.
Infused with political commentary, drama and special effects, “V” is arguable one of the best science fiction shows from the last twenty-five years. Unfortunately, the original show hasn’t really stood the test of time. Imagine what “V” would have been like if the internet, tiny cell phone cameras or even podcasting were around.
Well, now you can.
Premiering on November 3rd, the new “V” looks promising. It’s significantly different from the original; there are new characters played by actors and actresses that hail from FIREFLY and LOST, just to name a few. I’m pretty excited about this reboot because there are so many new directions and possibilities the writers can explore, and I hope this means we’ll see more quality science fiction shows on the horizon.
Here’s the trailer:
The only downside to the show airing on ABC, is that the season will be interrupted by the Olympics. Be sure to check out the article ABC to break up ‘V’ debut; first four episodes air in November for more information. Don’t forget to become a fan of “V” on Facebook!

I am really bummed that Lost is over. I can’t believe I am watching the final segment tonight. What are we going to do each week. Nestor Carbonell is so sexy! Where can I see him in the next show? Is there going to be a sequel?
