Origins Interviews & Origins Awards Winners
Posted on June 29, 2008 by Flames
Some of the Flames Rising crew was at Wizard World Chicago this weekend checking out new Horror Comics and Dark Fantasy Artists. Michael Erb helped us diversify our efforts and dropped by Origins Game Fair to get the scoop on upcoming games, cool events and the 34th Annual Origins Awards.
Here are a few teasers of some of the interviews he is working on:
* Andy Looney of Looney Labs who talks about their undead-themed game “Zombie Fluxx,” how it differs from other Fluxx games and why he even wanted to make a Zombie-themed game (here is a hint; he didn’t).
* Scott Hill, the lead artist for Flying Frog Productions, talks about their very popular Zombie survival game “Last Night on Earth” and its first expansion, as well as another horror-themed game “A Touch of Evil.” All of them look extremely cool and Scott even gives a teaser about Flying Frog’s next game. It’s out of this world.
* There is a little bit of magic in the air when Fred Hicks of Evil Hat Productions talks about the upcoming “Dresden Files RPG” which is based on the popular novels by Jim Butcher. The IPR booth had a sneak peek of the RPG, including artwork from the comic written and illustrated by the Dable brothers.
While at the convention, the Origins Awards winners were announced. We’ve got the highlights here for folks to enjoy. For the full list of nominees and more information check out the AAGAD website.
