Convention season has begun once more. The Flames Rising crew has a few favorites and we’re always looking for more places to check out and new events to try. While did not get the chance to attend WisCon right here in our hometown, there is always next year.

Coming up in the next few weeks are Origins Game Fair and Wizard World Chicago, both of which I hear are a fun time. We just might be stopping by WWC on Saturday June 28th, so let me know if you will be attending.

An upcoming convention we would love to check out is GenCon Oz, taking place July 3rd – 6th in Brisbane Australia.

The next big convention for us, and a personal favorite of mine, is GenCon Indy, taking place August 14-17 in Indianapolis, IN.

At GenCon this year, White Wolf will be releasing Hunter: the Vigil, that game we’ve been showing off on the Previews page. Houses of the Blooded by John Wick should be available at the IPR booth and Exquisite Replicas from Abstract Nova will also be debuting at GenCon. There is so much cool stuff going on at GenCon this year that I’ll be posting several upcoming topics on Flames Rising as the convention gets closer.

DragonCon in Atlanta will be at the end of August. From what I hear this is the place for cool costumes and fun parties.

In October is a fun little gaming convention called OshCon. We will be there running demos of our favorite Horror games.

There are many, many more cool conventions on the schedule this year. Let’s hear about them. What are your favorite conventions? Tell me about comic book and sci-fi conventions that I’m missing out on. Which ones should I be attending? Why?
