A Dirty World and Reign by Greg Stolze

Author and game designer Greg Stolze has two new products available at the Flames Rising RPGNow Shop.
First up is Reign – A fantasy game of dominion and leadership.
I picked this book up at GenCon 2007 after an entertaining demo run by the Mr. Stolze himself. It uses the One Roll Engine, so if you are familiar with Godlike or Wild Talents you’ll find this a breeze to run (even if you have not played these games this one is easy to learn). The setting is very cool and worth checking out for new twists ideas. There is a Reign story in Worlds of Their Own that explores the setting a little bit more.
The other new game is A Dirty World – Explore the rain-slicked streets of Film Noir.
This one was a gift from Greg at this year’s GenCon (I’m noticing a trend here) and is probably one of my favorite games of the year. Greg did some revisions and re-imaginings of the ORE system to focus more on the characters and bring out the Noir feel in this game. His writing is top-notch and helps add just enough flavor to the text to get into the right mood for drama and intrigue.
Be sure to read Greg’s essay How I Wrote “A Dirty World” right here on Flames Rising for information on the how and the why this game was created.
Reign and A Dirty World are available at the Flames Rising RPGNow Shop.
