Sixth Gun RPG Kickstarter Ends 10pm EDT Thursday, June 25, 2015

Fans of The Sixth Gun and Deadlands settings were excited to learn a crossover adventure was planned as a stretch goal for The Sixth Gun RPG Kickstarter.

“Chocolate meet my peanut butter!” commented Facebook user Richard Mark Borges of Jamestown, Rhode Island.

Cullen Bunn, writer for The Sixth Gun comic series, said “I’ve long said that The Sixth Gun is the ideal comic book for gamers looking to mine ideas for their characters and campaigns. Now, they’ll be mining the comics for ideas for their Sixth Gun RPG campaigns! I know what system MY gaming group will be playing now! I couldn’t be more excited!”

Funded inside the first hour and now racing past $50,000, the Kickstarter for the RPG tabletop game based on the Eisner and Harvey Award nominated series exceeded expectations. Other unlocked stretch goals include a new game adventure by The Sixth Gun creative team of Cullen Bunn and Brian Hurtt and with RPG author Scott Woodard, which will include new original comics content. This content will be available in print if the Kickstarter meets a $60,000 stretch goal.

The Sixth Gun comic series—a pop interpretation of the supernatural Western by writer Cullen Bunn and artist Brian Hurtt, published by Oni Press—follows the journey of six ancient and mystical weapons with the power to remake all of Creation.

Pinnacle Entertainment Group’s flagship product is Deadlands, a horrific journey into the “Weird West.” The Kickstarter brings the world of The Sixth Gun as a roleplaying game using the award-winning Savage Worlds game system.

Kickstarter backers can pre-order The Sixth Gun RPG in both softcover and limited edition hardcover, the Savage Worlds core rulebook, and trade paperback collections of The Sixth Gun comics series, in both softcover, hardcover, and Limited Edition Gunslinger editions. Kickstarter exclusives and incentives consist of character miniatures in 32mm scale pewter from The Sixth Gun including Drake, Becky, Asher Cobb, General Hume, Brother Roberto, Gord, Billjohn, and Missy Hume, as well as other roleplaying game accessories such as “Bennie” tokens, custom dice, and a trifold game master screen with new exclusive artwork by Brian Hurtt and Bill Crabtree.
